GI: Craneford (Eden Valley) and Ebenezer (Barossa Valley).
Colour: deep cherry red with plum purple hue.
Aroma: blackberry and ripe raspberry with star anise and cashew characters.
Palate: gratifying with succulent blackberry fruits, a full mouthfeel and excellent depth of flavour. Richness and velvety smooth tannins lead to a persistent finish.
Oak: 20% new French for 24 months. 4 year air dried oak. Francois Frere and Taransaud Coopers – tight grain.

Notes of chocolate and mocha, black fruits, cassis, raisins and hints of dried fruits, this is big and bold – everything you’d expect from a top Barossa Shiraz. Seamless and supple in structure, the palate sees notes of aniseed and soy, and yet more chocolate, emerge. There is serious length here and impressive persistence with cashmere-like tannins.
